Xiaomi 12 Pro vs OPPO Find X5 Pro: Design
The frames of the OPPO Find X5 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro are also constructed of metal, specifically aluminum. The OPPO Find X5 Pro has a ceramic back, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a glass back. Both gadgets are also available in vegan leather versions, however, these are currently only available in China. They both have very slick surfaces and similar forms. Glass is said to be more scratch-resistant than ceramic, which also resists fingerprints a little better.
The size of the two gadgets is similarly comparable. While the OPPO Find X5 Pro is narrower and somewhat thicker, they are nearly similar in height. The OPPO Find X5 Pro weighs 218 grams (ceramic model) / 195 grams compared to the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s 204/205 grams (Vegan Leather model). The only device with official water and dust-resistant rating is the Find X5 Pro (IP68). The Xiaomi 12 Pro does not, which is surprising.
While their rear camera modules are located in the same location, in the top-left corner, each of them has display camera holes, albeit in different locations. However, keep in mind that those camera islands do appear distinct. Needless to say, both phones have an incredibly nice feel in the hand. They are by no means little and are rather cozy to use. Though they are both extremely slippery, you should probably acquire cases for both phones.
Xiaomi 12 Pro vs OPPO Find X5 Pro: Display
A 6.73-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1440) LTPO AMOLED display is available on the Xiaomi 12 Pro. This panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and is curved (adaptive). The panel is capable of HDR10+ projection and Dolby Vision compatibility. At 1,500 nits at peak brightness, it also becomes quite bright. This device has a screen-to-body ratio of 89.6% and a 20:9 aspect ratio (approximately). The Gorilla Glass Victus shields the display.

The 6.7-inch QHD+ (3216 x 1440) LTPO2 AMOLED display of the OPPO Find X5 Pro has a resolution of. Additionally curved, this panel offers a 120Hz refresh rate (adaptive). Its maximum brightness is 1,200 nits, and it can project HDR10+ material. This display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and a screen-to-body ratio of about 89.6%, making it essentially identical to the one provided by Xiaomi’s product. The Gorilla Glass Victus is also used to shield this panel.
On paper, these two displays certainly resemble one another, as you can see. You’ll be happy to learn that both of those are premium panels. In general, we have nothing unpleasant to say about them. They not only have an adjustable refresh rate but also have very good touch sensitivity. The blacks are pretty deep, and the colors are fantastic, bold, and bright. Both panels shine brightly, even outside, and the viewing angles are great. Neither of them will let you down.
Xiaomi 12 Pro vs OPPO Find X5 Pro: Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers both of these phones. Right now, that is the most potent processor Qualcomm has to offer. Additionally, both devices have UFS 3.1 flash storage and LPDDR5 RAM. In other words, neither business cut corners on the inside. Those additional elements, in addition to the program, naturally, affect performance.
Both phones have Android 12 pre-installed, but with various skins. The OPPO Find X5 Pro has ColorOS 12.1, whilst the Xiaomi 12 Pro has MIUI 13. Despite the fact that both skins are distinct from one another, they are both fantastic and well-optimized. Both MIUI and ColorOS have advanced significantly over time and can now successfully compete with every other skin available.
All of this results in a superb performance on both devices. They are buttery smooth, which applies to pretty much anything you do. These two phones won’t lag as you multitask, consume multimedia, process videos, play games, and do other activities. It’s likely to remain that way for some time. While playing games, neither phone gets very warm, although they do. Overall, they can compete with virtually every other flagship gadget and are on an equal footing in terms of performance.
Xiaomi 12 Pro vs OPPO Find X5 Pro: Battery
They both feature displays with comparable sizes and resolutions, but their battery packs are very different. The OPPO Find X5 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro has a 4,600mAh one. But battery capacity isn’t everything. Does that, however, account for the difference in battery life in this instance? Indeed, it does. The OPPO Find X5 Pro performed substantially better during our tests.
We often only got approximately 5 hours of screen time on the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which is obviously not very good. The OPPO Find X5 Pro typically exceeded the 6-hour screen-on time limit. In terms of daily usage, there is a significant difference there—unless you’re a light user, of course. Given the different battery sizes, it is not particularly surprising, that Xiaomi can yet make additional improvements to the battery life over time. Your results may vary, of course. Everyone uses their phone differently, and everyone has a varied phone reception where they live. As a result, your outcomes may differ greatly.
Charges, what about them? Well, both provide genuinely quick charging. The Xiaomi 12 Pro can charge at speeds of 50W wireless, 120W wired, and 10W reverse wireless. 80W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging are all included with the OPPO Find X5 Pro. Additionally, both phones come with charging bricks that let you take full advantage of those speeds. But you’ll need to buy wireless chargers.
Xiaomi 12 Pro vs OPPO Find X5 Pro: Cameras
The back of the OPPO Find X5 Pro and Xiaomi 12 Pro both include wide, ultrawide, and telephoto cameras. The implementations and sensors themselves differ. In addition to the Mari silicon X NPU, the OPPO Find X5 Pro has one as well, which distinguishes it from the Find X3 Pro. The Find X5 Pro has two 50-megapixel cameras on the back and a 13-megapixel telephoto camera, compared to the Xiaomi 12 Pro’s three 50-megapixel sensors.

But how nice are the images and video? In our experience, the answer is absolute. Despite considerable variances, both have excellent daytime and overnight performance. Some folks will enjoy the overly saturated image that the Xiaomi 12 Pro tends to produce. There is no over-sharpening or anything similar. In most cases, the Find X5 Pro photographs definitely appear more realistic. The ultrawide camera of the Find X5 Pro is also more reliable, though both are absolutely outstanding.
The Find X5 Pro typically provides somewhat brighter photographs in low light, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro appears to be more accurate. But some people will undoubtedly like that. Both devices perform admirably when it comes to video during the day, but the Find X5 Pro performs somewhat better in low light, and the Mari Silicon X may be the reason why. Both phones have decent, but not particularly outstanding, telephoto cameras. It’s unfortunate that the Find X5 Pro no longer features the microscope camera from the Find X3 Pro.
Audio
The audio situation in this case is extremely intriguing. One of the few smartphones featuring four speakers—two bottom-firing and two top-firing—is the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Harman Kardon also tunes those speakers. Two speakers are present on the OPPO Find X5 Pro, one of which is front-facing and the other is bottom-facing. Which one do you prefer? The ones on the Xiaomi 12 Pro, though, are louder and, to be honest, they do seem clearer, at least when in use. They appear more even.
But the ones that the OPPO Find X5 Pro offers are nothing to laugh at. Additionally, they are very good, and most people won’t give a damn. There is nothing muted or similar about any configuration. But keep in mind that neither phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack. You’ll need to utilize Bluetooth headphones, Type-C headphones, or a dongle; the choice is yours.
CONCLUSION
Oppo Find X5 Pro is the device to choose if battery life, connectivity, and design are more essential to you. However, choose the Xiaomi 12 Pro if software and performance are more important to you.
